McAdams Cemetery is a lovely, well-cared-for, very old cemetery. Some of the grave markers are past the line of trees and brush.

This cemetery contains graves from several pioneer families. McAdams, Burdine, Christopher and tragically six members of the Hunt family who died in a typhoid epidemic. Mary Hunt was nee Burdine and a sister to James McAdams first wife, Nancy. If you visit in the summer you will only see a few graves. The bulk of the cemetery is hidden behind the tree line, overgrown with time. A winter visit taught me that. James McAdams Great Grandson of the one buried here.
